If you opt to get the placement of your IUD checked by ultrasound, then you will always have to pay for it yourself. This will not be covered by your health insurance. The price for this ultrasound is €35.00. The ultrasound will take place 6 weeks after placement of the IUD. Generally, a vaginal ultrasound will be required.
